Facebook Marketing & Social Media Training for Business Groups
Portland BNI
Facebook content strategy, brand awareness marketing, and ongoing social media training for a Portland, Oregon, business networking group, giving members practical skills while building visibility for the chapter and its local businesses.
Building Visibility for an Entire Business Community
Yancey Red developed and managed a Facebook strategy for a Portland BNI chapter, using the group’s social presence to promote the chapter while also creating visibility for its individual member businesses.
The engagement combined strategic Facebook content with ongoing social media education. Weekly training segments gave business owners practical guidance on Facebook best practices, content creation, engagement, and brand awareness that they could apply to their own companies. Member highlights, events, and business-focused content gave the chapter a consistent presence while amplifying the businesses within the group.
“My business clients have enjoyed how easy and fun Yancey Red is to work with. Along with being able to grow sales and presence, the biggest value I’ve seen is their ability to create strategic content with an overall vision of each business.”
About The Client
The client was a 40+ member BNI business networking chapter in Portland, Oregon. At the time of the engagement, the chapter included established local business owners and was a top-performing group within its Oregon and Washington region.
The Process
Yancey Red began with a deep dive into the chapter’s member businesses, comparable regional networking groups, and existing social media metrics. From there, we developed a Facebook strategy that reflected the chapter’s culture while creating opportunities to spotlight individual members, promote events, and increase awareness of the businesses represented in the group.
Education was built directly into the engagement. Weekly social media training segments gave members practical Facebook guidance they could take back to their own businesses, combining chapter-level content management with ongoing professional development for dozens of local business owners.
Social Media Results
The combination of consistent Facebook content and weekly training produced significant early growth. Within the first two months, the chapter’s Facebook page grew tenfold, while engagement and follower activity also increased.
The impact extended beyond the chapter page. Regular member features amplified the individual businesses within the group, while weekly training gave 36 business owners practical social media knowledge they could apply to their own marketing.
