Organic Social Media Strategy for Nonprofits

Uth inc.

Building a nonprofit’s organic social media presence from the ground up, from establishing its voice and content strategy to launching and growing its social channels before the brand and website were complete.

Social Media Before the Brand Was Finished

Yancey Red developed and managed a strategic Meta paid ad funnel to reach new audiences beyond Boca Raton and drive ticket sales. Campaigns moved audiences from awareness to higher-intent retargeting while supporting individual Festival events with targeted paid promotion.

About The Client

UTH is a New York nonprofit focused on helping students thrive by addressing the barriers that can get in the way of learning, engagement, and belonging. Through school-based programs and partnerships, UTH works to ensure students have access to the resources, support, and opportunities they need to participate fully in their school communities.

The Process

We started by defining UTH’s audiences, voice, and core content themes, then built an organic strategy across multiple social media channels. With no existing social presence or finished website to rely on, each platform had to clearly communicate who UTH was, why its work mattered and how people could connect with the mission.

From there, we developed consistent content around UTH’s programs, student needs, educational insights, partnerships and the people behind the organization. As the brand evolved, the social strategy evolved with it, creating a cohesive digital presence rather than waiting for every other piece to be finished first.

Social Media Results

Starting from zero, UTH established an organic presence across Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn while the organization itself was still taking shape. Social media gave UTH an immediate way to introduce its mission, programs, and perspective, build awareness, and begin developing an audience before its website launched.

The result is an established content foundation that can grow with the organization, rather than having to build an audience and social strategy after the rest of the brand is complete.
