Focusing on widening their target member audience to younger generations, the Rotary District 7850 expanded their social media presence during the 2022-2023 year utilizing Facebook, Instagram, and multiple training sessions for the PR committees of local clubs.

Our large non-profit organization spans two states and one Canadian province. We retained Yancey Red to devise and assist us with a comprehensive region-wide social media campaign. Courtney has excelled at organizing and lending structure to our social media. She’s provided training to many of our members and has driven our social media visibility and effectiveness forward. Courtney has been the key to our progress in this arena.

About The Client

Rotary District 7850 is one of the few bilingual and international Rotary districts on the planet, incorporating from northern Vermont and Northern New Hampshire to the Eastern Townships of Quebec, Canada. There are 40 individual clubs in the district, each club is proud of their unique culture and community good works.

The Process

Every 12 months Rotary club presidents and the district governors change hands. With each shift in leadership comes a new vision and a new budget. For the 2022-2023 year, the district governor established social media as one of her top priorities.

We established a community strategy for the district’s Instagram and Facebook pages focusing on content creation that shows their good works in each community. Rather than telling about the district’s community involvement, we showed the results of each action in the communities. All photos taken by individual club members.

Zoom training sessions were established for each club’s PR committee to attend to learn best practices, strategy development, and ask questions about their unique situations.

Work continues to bring all 40 Facebook club pages under the Meta Business Manager of the District and connect all Instagram accounts.

The District approved individual grants for each club to work with us to develop a unique strategy for their own social media and individual training and consulting.

Social Media Results

At the 5-month mark we’ve seen a 9% increase in their Facebook following and a 34% increase in engagement over the previous year. Instagram is benefitting from the fastest growth, with a 1,500% increase in engagement and reach and a 300% increase in followers.
