Social Media Training for Teams & Key Stakeholders
slyvan signs
Customized social media strategy and hands-on employee training for a signage company, teaching owners, key stakeholders, and staff how to plan, create, and manage their own content across Facebook, Instagram, and Google Business Profile.
Building Social Media Skills Across the Team
Yancey Red developed a customized social media training curriculum designed to give key stakeholders and staff the skills to manage social media internally. Training was delivered on-site to the owner and employees, with practical instruction covering Facebook, Instagram, and Google Business Profile.
The engagement went beyond teaching individual platform features. Staff learned how to develop a social media strategy, identify content opportunities, create effective posts, follow platform best practices, engage with audiences, and manage an ongoing content program. The training model was designed to work across teams and departments, building social media knowledge throughout the organization rather than concentrating it with one employee.
“Yancey Red is a terrific resource. They are very knowledgeable, very detail-oriented, organized, great at communication and teaching. You will be happy if you hire Yancey Red!”
About The Client
Yancey Red created a customized curriculum and delivered hands-on, on-site social media training for the owner, key stakeholders, and staff. Training covered strategy development, content planning, post creation, audience engagement, platform best practices, and ongoing management across Facebook, Instagram, and Google Business Profile.
The approach can also be scaled for entire departments, giving multiple employees a shared understanding of social media strategy, brand consistency, responsibilities, and best practices. The social posts featured in the portfolio were created by the client’s own team after completing Yancey Red’s training.
The Process
The strategy balanced student recruitment with content that remained valuable to the college’s broader midwifery community. Facebook and Instagram featured educational topics, program information, student and graduate stories, application and enrollment content, industry information, and community-focused posts, while Google Business Profile supported search visibility.
Healthcare privacy was incorporated into the content process, with particular attention to HIPAA considerations, permissions, clinical experiences, photography, birth-related content, and other situations where sensitive information could potentially appear online.
social media Results
The training gave the owner and staff the strategy, practical skills, and shared framework needed to manage social media internally. Employees were able to move from learning platform best practices to independently creating and publishing their own content across Facebook, Instagram, and Google Business Profile.
The project also demonstrates the value of training multiple stakeholders rather than relying on a single employee. Building social media knowledge across a team or department creates more internal resources for identifying content opportunities, contributing ideas, and maintaining a consistent presence.
